aka statement of purpose

I’ve been blogging, on a more personal level, since 2006, but I’ve decided it’s time for a change. As I grow up and move up into the world, from student to teacher, from follower to leader, I feel the need to present myself on a different note and to a different audience.

Evolution is always close at hand and I believe that there is no better feeling than the one you have when you look back and realise you’ve come a long way, you’ve learned so much and you’ve improved yourself in ways that you couldn’t even have guessed three or four years before. This is why, although I am a strong believer in consistency and coherence, I cannot help but feel that I have changed in the past couple of years and, consequently, I have to reinvent the way I present myself and the way others see me.

Hence, this blog. While I believe a blog is esentially a personal tool and I do not condone all the so-called “tech blogs”, which are cold and neutral, I will focus mainly on Potlog’s outer feats and traits and leave his post-teen emotional dramas for a different set of notes. To complete this statement of purpose, I’ll talk about my professional experiences, my thoughts and ideas on building a career in the Romanian legal system, my opinions on the Romanian business environment. On the other hand, expect to read what I believe in, what I stand for, what I wish to achieve and how I see myself achieving it, all from a trainee lawyer’s perspective.
